What a week in the NFL! It was probably my worst week when it comes to picking games so a lot of games I expected to go one way went the other. There is quite a bit of movement in the bottom half of the top 10. A lot of movement in the middle and some at the bottom. The biggest rise this week was from the Patriots and Falcons with +5. The biggest fall was by the Panthers with a -7. Let's get into the rankings!
1. Arizona Cardinals (7-0) (--)
The Cardinals continue to be dominate with a plus 111 point differential. They are the most complete team in the NFL right now.
2. Los Angeles Rams (6-1) (--)
The Rams are 3-0 on the road. It is very difficult to win on the road in the NFL and the Rams are making it look easy.
3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-1) (--)
They are the #1 scoring team in the NFL. Their schedule isn't he hardest in the world but they are destroying the teams they are supposed to and beating good teams along the way as well. Can't fault them for their schedule.
4. Green Bay Packers (6-1) (+1)
Their offense isn't as explosive as I thought it would be but they are still winning games. That's what a well coached team does.
5. Dallas Cowboys (5-1) (+1)
They were on bye and yet moved up 1, that is how good they are or how bad a few teams above them last week done.
6. Cincinnati Bengals (5-2) (+4)
I've had them in my top ten for a few weeks now when not many have had them that high. I saw what was coming in how good they were playing. They have scored more points than the Ravens for the year and have given up 36 fewer points. Oh, and they destroyed them this week. Brutal.
7. Baltimore Ravens (5-2) (-3)
The Ravens are still really good due to coaching and the man behind center. I was worried after the first couple of weeks if their depth would catch up to them due to so many injuries.
8. Tennessee Titans (5-2) (+1)
The Titans have beaten the 2 AFC powerhouses from last year, in 2 weeks time only 6 days apart from one another. That is impressive even if the Chiefs aren't playing their best ball this year.
9. Buffalo Bills (4-2) (-2)
Them moving down is not their fault of course because of the bye week. I usually don't like to move teams on a bye week but the Bengals and Titans both deserved to move up after this week.
10. Los Angeles Chargers (4-2) (-2)
See above.
11. Cleveland Browns (4-3) (+1)
The Browns were missing quite a few key pieces and still ran the ball extremely effective. They didn't have to beat a great team or anything but still shown the Browns can run the ball no matter who is in the backfield or behind center.
12. Las Vegas Raiders (5-2) (+2)
The Raiders aren't a juggernaut on offense and their defense is just ok. Yet, they are still winning games even with what was going on with their former coach. Derek Carr is their leader and stepped up in a lot of key spots this year.
13. Minnesota Vikings (4-2) (--)
They were on a bye week.
14. New Orleans Saints (4-2) (+5)
It hasn't always looked pretty but they are winning games. That's 2 in a row now.
15. Indianapolis Colts (3-4) (+5)
They are starting to prove me wrong this year. Far from elite, they are starting to find their identity.
16. Pittsburgh Steelers (3-3) (--)
They were on a bye week.
17. Kansas City Chiefs (3-4) (-6)
I am more critical on the Chiefs as I am a die hard fan. Their coaching isn't adjusting, Mahomes is pressing, their pass catchers are making mistakes, and their defense doesn't play well in most areas. Notice how I started this off with Coaching.
18. New England Patriots (3-4) (+5)
The Patriots are starting to figure out what they have in Mac Jones and we are all starting to see that is a good thing.
19. San Francisco 49ers (2-4) (-1)
The 49ers are 0-3 at home this year. What is going on? They have to win those home games as they are in a division where they aren't going to win. Their only hope is to make a wildcard spot which one of their division foes will get one of them this year.
20. Atlanta Falcons (3-3) (+5)
After a very slow start the last 2 weeks it seems the Falcons are starting to put some things together. There is a little hope after all!
21. Denver Broncos (3-4) (-4)
The Broncos are just not a good team this year. Their defense usually keeps the games within reach but their offense hasn't capitalized or done much of anything this year.
22. Carolina Panthers (3-4) (-7)
The Panthers have scored 146 points and have given up 146 points. I just thought that was interesting. So as you can see their offense isn't that great with their defense being alright.
23. Chicago Bears (3-4) (-1)
If I was just bagging on the Panthers, the Bears have only scored 101 points which is 3rd worst in the league behind the Texans and Jets. Their defense has given up 162 points. Not good.
24. Seattle Seahawks (2-5) (-3)
Seattle, let someone cook because these Seahawks are ice cold right now with 3 losses in a row.
25. Philadelphia Eagles (2-5) (-1)
The Eagles are just out coached in just about every game this year. I'm pretty sure there were better head coach candidates out there when they made their decision.
26. Washington Football Team (2-5) (--)
The Football team had to play Mahomes and Rodgers in back to back weeks. Rough.
27. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-5) (--)
They had a bye week.
28. New York Giants (2-5) (+1)
They beat a Panthers team who isn't as good as first advertised. They will be facing the Chiefs next on a Monday night game. Will they capitalize on how poorly the Chiefs have been doing or continue to be one of the worst teams in the NFL?
29. Miami Dolphins (1-6) (-1)
The game against the Falcons was close but one again they couldn't close.
30. Detroit Lions (0-7) (+2)
Man, the next two teams have to be really bad if a winless team in put ahead of them...
31. New York Jets (1-5) (--)
The answer is yes, they are really bad. The Jets can't score or stop people from scoring. They are outcoached every week.
32. Houston Texans (1-6) (-2)
The Texans continue to be the worst ran franchise while not having a good product on the field. That isn't a good combination.
