| Noah Fant - Denver Broncos Tight End |
Noah Fant is just one of those players where you are just waiting to break out. You know he has the potential to go off. He has shown flashes of great play. However, for one reason or another it just isn't there on a consistent basis. Fant's rookie year was in 2019 where he had 40 receptions from 66 targets. He had 562 yards with only 3 touchdowns. Last year, his catch rate went up just over 6% hauling in 62 receptions out of 93 targets. However, his yards per reception went down to 10.9 from 14.1. He ended the year with 673 yards and again, 3 touchdowns.
What does that all mean? Well, you can take whatever you want from it but the last two years the Broncos has had very inconsistent QB play that I think will be better this year. How much better? We will just have to wait and see.
I don't think Fant will get as many targets due to Sutton being healthy and Jeudy improving on a good rookie year. That doesn't mean he can't contribute more in the redzone to improve his 3 TD a year average. He also won't cost you in the turnover department. He has only fumbled 1 time out of 105 touches.
Fant is most likely going to go in most leagues as the 6-10th TE taken off the board. If you think the QB play in Denver will improve and Fant will be used more in the redzone then I wouldn't shy away. Especially in the potential that he has shown.
