It was an interesting week in the NFL. There were a few surprises, most notably the Ravens knocking off the Chiefs at home. The biggest riser was the Los Vegas Raiders at +15. Mainly due to the fact I just didn't believe in them going into the season. I also had my speculation after week one. They deserve the praise after beating two very good opponents. The biggest fall was by the Saints and Dolphins both with -11. The Seahawks mainly fell because other teams rose by quite a bit. The Dolphins just looked lost and aren't putting up a lot of points.
1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-0) (--)
They survived two weeks with a very suspect secondary. Their offense just looks lights out right now. Let's see if they can grab Richard Sherman before they get to the Rams and Patriots.
2. Los Angeles Rams (2-0) (+1)
The Rams offense is scary right now. Just wait until the middle of the season when their already top tier defense starts to catch up.
3. Kansas City Chiefs (1-1) (-1)
The Chiefs are a lost fumble late in the 4th quarter away from being 2-0. Their defense needs a lot of work or it will be like the 2018 Chiefs where Mahomes has to throw for a million yards just to stay in games.
4. Buffalo Bills (1-1) (+2)
They have a point differential of +28 which is best in the league. Mainly due to blowing out the Dolphins this week. However you want to put it, they have a great offense with a good defense.
5. Cleveland Browns (1-1) (+2)
The Browns still have the best offensive line in football to go with their weapons. However, they just put Jarvis Landry on IR. This week would be a great time to get O'Dell back. Also, Baker has some injury concerns. Their roster is deep but will be tested.
6. Arizona Cardinals (2-0) (+2)
The Cardinals are 2nd in points scored behind the Buccaneers. Kyler Murray is playing like he wants that MVP Trophy. They are in probably the best division in football. Let's see how much they rise or fall in the next couple of weeks.
7. San Francisco 49ers (2-0) (+2)
Don't get it twisted. The 49ers have put up just as many points at the Seahawks and just 3 less than the Rams so far. They have injury concerns at RB piling up but if they continue to play efficient football I don't see them slipping too much.
8. Las Vegas Raiders (2-0) (+15)
The Raiders just might be the real deal. Last year they started off pretty hot and fell off so it is hard to trust them. However, something seems different this year. Carr is playing beyond belief.
9. Pittsburgh Steelers (1-1) (-5)
The Steelers are still a good team. Their defense needs some work especially in the secondary. However, I think they start to get better as the season progresses. I'm not too worried right now.
10. Denver Broncos (2-0) (+7)
The Broncos are 4th in the league when it comes to points given up only giving up 26. Bridgewater is effective at managing the game and giving them the best chance to win. Let the defense do it's job while not making any mistakes on offense.
11. Green Bay Packers (1-1) (--)
The Packers had a good game at home but it was against the rebuilding Lions. Their defense needs quite a bit of work as their offense will always be deadly with Rodgers, Jones, and Adams.
12. Baltimore Ravens (1-1) (+1)
The Ravens had a very impressive win against the Chiefs on Sunday Night. They are still decimated by Injuries. I'm not sure if they will make the playoffs as it is a long season. Their depth will be tested.
13. Seattle Seahawks (1-1) (-8)
The Seahawks lost against the Titans in OT. Their defense gave up way too many yards to Henry. Their loss and other teams looking more impressive the first two weeks is why they dropped 8.
14. Dallas Cowboys (1-1) (--)
The Cowboys had a close game against the Chargers in where they won. Zeke just doesn't look good to me. Pollard by far looks like the better back. When are they going to make that change? Some injury concerns on defense concerns me as well.
15. Carolina Panthers (2-0) (+9)
The Panthers have only given up 21 points which is first in the league. I like to see their offense score more points as they are going to face better offenses later in their schedule.
16. Tennessee Titans (1-1) (--)
The Titans looked like they are getting back to their style of offense. Henry running the ball. Let's see if he can hold up another season of rushing a million times. If not, the Titans are going to be in trouble this year.
17. Los Angeles Chargers (1-1) (-5)
The Chargers had a good game against the Cowboys. They are, right now the worst team in a very strong division. Herbert doesn't seem to be hitting the Sophomore slump.
18. New England Patriots (1-1) (+1)
When the Patriots go up against rookie QBs it usually doesn't end well. Their defense plays lights out against Wilson and the Jets.
19. Cincinnati Bengals (1-1) (-1)
The Bengals are like a diet. You know it is good but man it can be a struggle to get through.
20. Washington Football Team (1-1) (--)
In a weak division they might stand a chance. However, they have given up more points than they have scored so far. That's usually not a success to get far in this league.
21. New Orleans Saints (1-1) (-11)
I think I might have been over valuing them after week one. One of the hardest teams to figure out.
22. Minnesota Vikings (0-2) (--)
They are a good team but their record doesn't show that. I think they will make a playoff run though.
23. Indianapolis Colts (0-2) (-2)
At the start of the season I stated their defense will keep them in games. I just didn't trust Wentz to really stay healthy or do much of anything. Guess who is injured coming into week three?
24. Chicago Bears (1-1) (+2)
The Bears aren't going to be that good this year and I'm ok with that. Fields will eventually become the answer.
25. Philadelphia Eagles (1-1) (--)
They have scored 43 points and given up 23 points. They need to figure out how to become more explosive. I'm not sure their defense is going to sustain this pace.
26. Miami Dolphins (1-1) (-11)
The last thing the needed was Tua to get hurt. They've scored 17 points (all in week one) and given up 51 points. Ouch.
27. Detroit Lions (0-2) (+2)
The Lions played as good as a game than anyone could have expected on the road against a hungry Packers team. I think Goff is the answer for them. They add a few more pieces especially on defense this team will start to win consistently.
28. Houston Texans (1-1) (+3)
They are the only team in their division with a positive point differential with +6. I'm not sure how well they are going to do with their rookie QB taking place of an injured Taylor.
29. New York Giants (0-2) (+1)
Daniel Jones honestly looks pretty good. Too bad the rest of their team doesn't. That's sad when Jones is the standout.
30. Jacksonville Jaguars (0-2) (+2)
They are in rough shape. Trevor Lawrence, God bless you. Urban looks lost as an NFL coach.
31. Atlanta Falcons (0-2) (-4)
They have talent on their team. Why are they this bad? The worst point differential in the league with -49. The next closest is the Dolphins with -34. They can't score and opponents score at will.
32. New York Jets (0-2) (-4)
There is always next year...again.
