This is an intriguing match-up on Thursday Night Football. Both teams start the year 0-1 looking to get to .500. Washington had a close game against a strong Chargers team. The Giants lost against an impressive Broncos team.
When Washington rushes: Washington has the advantage here. Washington is 12th in rushing this year while the Giants are 29th in stopping the run. I do believe Washington is even better running the ball than they showed last week.
When Washington passes: The Giants have the advantage here. I think Heinicke will do better with first team reps and being more prepared to start. The Giants have a decent secondary that will get better. The Giants are 16th in stopping the run. Washington was dead last in passing yards.

When the Giants rush: I will give Washington a slight advantage here. The Giants will get Barkley going eventually and when he does they will do better all around. The Giants were 28th in rushing while Washington were 14th in stopping the run. Also, Daniel Jones has 123 yards rushing in his 4 match-ups against Washington.
When the Giants pass: I'll give the Giants a slight advantage here. The Giants are 18th in passing while Washington is 28th in pass defense. Daniel Jones was sacked twice last week. I expect that to double against a better d-line.
MY PICK:
I do believe this will be a close game as they know one another very well. Daniel Jones has had success against Washington. However, Barkley isn't himself quite yet and the Giants offensive line is probably the worst in the league. Washington will have a better passing attack this week and their defense will do better.
